  • Operator - Industrial Manufacturing

    Job Description:

    Timber Technologies LLC is seeking a machine operator for 1st shift.

    Purpose: Run and monitor machine to produce quality product in a safe and efficient manner.
    Department: Production
    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Performs the following duties according to all established, written and or verbal, operational and quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety policies
    • Run machine and equipment
    • Set-up machine and equipment
    • Troubleshoot machine and equipment
    • Monitors machine and equipment
    • Performs quality inspections and makes consistent quality judgements
    • Performs computer interactions and maintains other records / documentation as required
    • Maintains area / good housekeeping required
    • Other duties as assigned including taking care of janitorial duties when it is your turn.
    • Work overtime as needed which may include Saturdays from time to time.

    Physical & Ability requirements:

    • Able to stand during entire shift
    • Able to press buttons
    • Able to do Math (Basic -- not quantum physics)
    • Able to record data (using a pen and paper)
    • Able to think efficiently
    • Able to see well (for visual inspection)
    • Able to lift 20-50 lbs occasionally
    • Able to work with others
    • Able to keep pace with the plant
    • Able to lift, stand, step over, carry, move side to side, push, pull, reach, walk, grip, bend and twist.
    • Able to sweep, mop, clean, use basic cleaning chemicals.

    Experience | Education | Skills:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent GED
    2. Mechanical aptitude
    3. Previous factory and woodworking experience preferred
    4. Good communication skills
    5. Self-motivated and positive attitude
    6. Have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
